Becca Just       

Director

Becca Just, a Louisville native, brings a wealth of volleyball coaching experience spanning over a decade to Alpha. Her journey in the sport began in elementary school and continued through her collegiate years, marked by notable achievements such as AVCA All-American, Female Athlete of the Year, and First Team All-Conference honors.

Becca's proficiency extends beyond coaching, with administrative roles in club volleyball tracing back to 2017 with Georgetown Force. In 2019, she assumed the position of Associate Director at Alpha, further solidifying her impact in the realm of club volleyball. Her coaching career is punctuated by significant victories in both high school and club tournaments, including the momentous achievement of assisting the 2021 11th Region Championship team to victory. In 2022, Becca was honored as an AVCA Thirty Under Thirty recipient, a testament to her exceptional contributions to the sport.

Currently, Becca applies her coaching expertise at Great Crossing High School and Royal Spring Middle School. Her coaching philosophy revolves around creating an environment that fosters holistic athlete development, emphasizing growth both on and off the court. She brings this passion to her role as the Manager of Beach Volleyball, Events, and Education at the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), where she oversees the coach mentoring program, hosts webinars, and coordinates educational sessions for the annual convention

Rhonda Morris       

Director

Rhonda Morris has coached middle school volleyball for over 20 years in both Tennessee and Kentucky. In 2005, Coach Morris helped establish volleyball in Scott County at the middle school level. Since then she has been the head coach at Scott County Middle School where she strives to prepare athletes for the high school level. Coach Morris' philosophy is to instill the passion for volleyball in each of her players through developing essential skills, court play and most importantly teamwork. 

Coach Morris has enjoyed many successes in her coaching career such as numerous Invitational Tournament Championships, Bluegrass Conference Championships (most recently 2021-2022 7th, & 8th grade both undefeated), and Bluegrass Tournament Championships (most recently 2021-2022 6th, 7th & 8th grade).  Morris has also coached 4 years of club volleyball.  

Coach Morris started playing volleyball in elementary school and played high school and club volleyball for Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she played in 2 State championship games earning Runner Up each time. Currently, she teaches physical education at Anne Mason Elementary. She is married to her husband, Elisha, who is a State Trooper and together they have two children, Zachariah (17) and Anniston (14).

Kim Adams 

A.22

Coach Kim has been playing, coaching, and reffing volleyball for over 20 years. Throughout that time, she played middle school, high school, and club volleyball (NKJV).  In college, she played club volleyball for the University of Kentucky and coached 3 seasons for TEVA (formally LUV).  After college, she began her teaching career while coaching the Freshmen team at Lexington Catholic High School.  She took a break from coaching to ref, then took a break from reffing to start her family.  Coach Kim has been married to her husband, Travis for 10 years.  They have two young kids, Trey (7) and Morgan (3).  Trey and Morgan are both active in sports, including baseball, basketball, football, gymnastics, and ballet.

Now in her second season with Alpha, Coach Kim's coaching philosophy centers on blending skill development with a profound love for the game. Her inaugural season witnessed her nurturing young talents in the developmental league, where she took immense pleasure in instilling foundational skills while fostering a genuine passion for volleyball. For Coach Kim, it's not only about teaching the game with precision but also ensuring that every athlete enjoys the game.

 

Jaicee Corcoran 

A.31

From Wichita, Kansas, Jaicee Corcoran graduated from Wichita Northwest High School. Her volleyball journey began at the age of 10 when she delved into club volleyball, complemented by a dedication to track and basketball during her formative years.

In 2021, Jaicee committed to Ottawa University, where she played both beach and indoor volleyball. She transferred to McNeese University, embarking on a transformative year in Louisiana before eventually making her way to Kentucky.

Now in her third year as a coach, Jaicee brings a wealth of experience from her coaching endeavors in various states, including Kansas and Louisiana. She is excited for the opportunity to contribute her expertise and passion for the sport to the community here in Kentucky.

 

Lauren Eads 

A.43

Lauren Eads is from Chicago, IL, where she first fell in love with volleyball. She brings a wealth of experience and passion to Alpha. With five years of coaching under her belt, including a successful two-year tenure as the varsity head coach at Bourbon County High School, she has demonstrated her ability to lead and inspire players to reach their full potential.

Having played volleyball for 10 years, Coach Lauren boasts a comprehensive understanding of the game. Her experience spans various forms of the sport, including club, school, beach, and mud volleyball. Notably, she honed her skills at Iowa State University, where she played club volleyball for a year.

Returning for her second season at Alpha, Coach Lauren is eager to continue her work with the program. She is committed to instilling a love for the game in her players while also focusing on skill development and strategic play.

Cierra Gaines       

A.32

Cierra Gaines holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from East Tennessee State University. Since relocating to Lexington, KY in early 2023, she's eager to continue her journey of growth and contribution.

Cierra's volleyball journey began in middle school, evolving into a dedicated commitment to the sport through high school and club play at McMinn County High School in Athens, TN. As a starting setter at Hiwassee College, she distinguished herself as a standout athlete, earning accolades including NCCAA All-Tournament team (2016-2019) and Female Athlete of the Year (2016-2018).

With a decade of experience in both playing and coaching volleyball, Cierra brings a wealth of knowledge to the court. She's contributed her expertise to coaching club volleyball for three years, and now, as a valued member of the Alpha Performance coaching staff, she's poised to make a positive impact. Cierra's coaching philosophy is rooted in creating a meaningful and enriching experience for players, all while nurturing their skills and fostering growth, both as individual athletes and cohesive teammates.


Alexxa Gearheart       

A.81

In her inaugural season as a coach, Alexxa brings with her an impressive 14-year background in playing volleyball. She played at Pikeville High School, Georgetown College, and UK Club. Currently pursuing pharmacy studies at the University of Kentucky, much of her time outside the gym is devoted to studying medication. She eagerly anticipates the upcoming season and the opportunity to work with a fantastic group of dedicated athletes.


Phillip Gribble      

A.52

Phillip Gribble has been in and out of volleyball coaching for 30 years in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky.  Coach Gribble has club teams in State College, Pennsylvania, and middle school in Woodford County.  He has been on the coaching staff at the college level as either a student assistant coach or a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (women's), Penn State (women's and men's), University of Toledo (women's), Appalachian State University (women's) and Lourdes University (men's).  Additionally, he worked as a court coach for many years at volleyball camps at UNC, Penn State, Toledo and local high school camps.  

From the opportunities to work with many of those coaching greats over the years, Coach Gribble has been able to stay involved in the sport that he loves and develop a passion to see new players grow in the game. He values that his players possess a foundation of fundamental skills that will allow them to develop their physical and mental approach to success on the court.  

Coach Gribble was a 4-year starter for the men's club team at the University of North Carolina. In his senior year, he assumed the role of player/coach and was named to the All-ACC tournament team while leading the team to qualify for the National Club tournament for the first time.  Coach Gribble is a professor at the University of Kentucky and serves as the chair of the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition.  His wife, Jammie, is a physical therapist and they have two children, Sawyer (18) and Caroline (15). 

Kainan Hudson       

A.61 & A.82

Kainan Hudson is from Versailles, where he attended Woodford County HS and played football. After high school, he played collegiate football at Thomas More. 

Kainan's introduction to the world of coaching came from a deeply personal source of inspiration - his mother, who was a dedicated middle school volleyball coach during his upbringing. Motivated by this influence, Kainan embarked on his own volleyball coaching career.

His coaching journey began at KBA, where he swiftly ascended to the role of Youth Volleyball Director. Kainan's first high school coaching position was as the JV coach at Sayre. In 2021, he made a significant move, joining Alpha's club coaching staff. Currently, Kainan is in the midst of his third season at George Rogers Clark High School, situated in Winchester, KY. His passion for both coaching and the sport itself continues to drive his contributions to the volleyball community. Kainan is a recent recipient of the Brandon Jones Golden Whistle Award.

 

Keith Jones II       

A.41

Keith Jones II is returning for his second year coaching with Alpha Performance Volleyball and his 20th year overall around the game of volleyball as both a player, trainer, and coach. Keith is a West Coast native - where he had his introduction to the game as a juniors player. Throughout his volleyball career, Keith has had the opportunity to play college club volleyball for three universities, be a practice player for Pac12, ACC, and Big12 D1 women’s programs, and coach from juniors to college. Prior to moving to Kentucky in 2021, Keith spent seven years coaching UNC’s college club programs and three years coaching juniors club at Chapel Hill Area Volleyball across ages 14U-17U. He now serves as the head coach for Scott County High School’s volleyball program.

Keith is currently employed as the Director of Housing and Residence Life at Transylvania University and has a significant passion in connecting co-curricular endeavors with academic pursuits. When Keith is not coaching, he is probably watching college and professional volleyball with his “girls” – his incredibly adorable dogs Lexi and Attie or traveling to play volleyball himself with his friends and family.

Stephanie Martin       

A.32

Stephanie Martin had been coaching volleyball on and off for 18 years. Her coaching journey has taken her through Scott County High School, Leestown Middle School, Scott County Middle School, and presently, Great Crossing High School. Coach Martin's fundamental belief lies in establishing an environment where players not only excel athletically, but also flourish academically, prioritizing holistic growth.

Coach Martin’s personal volleyball journey commenced as a freshman at Scott County High School, where she thrived in the libero position. Presently, she imparts her knowledge as a Physical Education instructor at Creekside Elementary School in Georgetown, marking her seventeenth year in the field of education. She is married to Jeremy, who is a golf professional at Marriott Griffin Gate. She also has twin daughters, Addi and Alex who are 10.  She is looking forward to another great season with Alpha.

 

Lauren McDonald       

A.42

Lauren McDonald's journey in volleyball began at Owen County High School, where she distinguished herself as a five-year varsity starter. Additionally, she dedicated six years to club volleyball, further honing her skills and passion for the sport. Her collegiate years at Georgetown College saw her excel not only as a student but as a student-athlete, playing a pivotal role in her volleyball team's triumph in securing an MSC championship.

In 2021, Lauren took on the role of assistant coach at Frankfort Elite Volleyball Association, where she imparted her expertise and passion for the game. The following year, she co-coached at Owen Elite, bringing her valuable insights to another dynamic team. Lauren's dedication and fervor for both playing and coaching volleyball shine through in her every endeavor, making her an invaluable asset to the volleyball community.

Rachel Murphy       

A.51

Rachel Murphy has been coaching volleyball for the past 6 years. Since 2017, she has been the Head JV Coach at Georgetown College. Her coaching highlights include 2 Mid-South Conference Championships, one being her first year in 2017 and this past year in 2021. Rachel’s coaching philosophy is to create players with a great work ethic on and off the court and focusing on the fundamentals will be the backbone to success.

Rachel is a Lexington Native and has been playing volleyball since middle school. Rachel played for Bryan Station High School and Lexington United Volleyball. She played collegiate volleyball at University of Pikeville and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Rachel currently works at White, Greer, and Maggard Orthodontics as the Patient Relations Specialist and in her free time enjoys playing with her dog, Rosie.



Aryah Myrick 

A.42

Aryah is on the verge of completing her final year at Georgetown College. In her second season coaching club volleyball in the Pioneer Region, Aryah brings a decade of playing experience to the table. Notably, she's also a valued member of the Georgetown College Women’s Volleyball team, providing her with invaluable collegiate-level insights.

What sets Aryah apart is her passion for elevating players' volleyball IQ. She is driven to assist young athletes in realizing their aspirations both on and off the court, showcasing a genuine passion for their growth and development.

 

Alea Ohle       

A.41

Alea Ohle, while new to the coaching arena, boasts a lifelong love affair with volleyball that began as early as 3rd grade. Her journey through the sport has nurtured a profound and enduring passion. As a defensive specialist at Georgetown College, Alea not only excelled on the court but also garnered numerous accolades for her academic achievements, including scholar-athlete awards and other notable honors. Embracing the role of student-athlete, Alea brings an enthusiastic spirit and places significant emphasis on the value of teamwork.

Alea is originally from LaGrange, KY where she grew up and attended Oldham County High School. She recently moved to Georgetown after accepting a job as a 3rd grade teacher here in Scott County. In her free time, she likes to work out, travel, and hang out with friends and family.


Erris Pierson       

15 & Up

Erris Pierson is from Kansas City, MO. She graduated from the University of Kentucky and is currently a special education teacher. Erris played volleyball back home for PVA and was a DS/Libero. She currently coaches at Scott County High School. This is her 6th year coaching.

Erris loves any and all team sports. When she's not coaching, she is probably teaching or hanging with the people she loves. Erris can't wait to help your athlete grow as a person on and off the court!!



 

Savannah Thomas       

A.81

In her seventh coaching season, and her inaugural season with Alpha, Savannah boasts a diverse coaching background, spanning from elementary to collegiate levels. Her primary coaching experience lies within the high school setting, where she has honed her skills over the years. With a commendable 15-year playing history, including collegiate stints at Georgetown College and Asbury University, Savannah brings a wealth of on-court expertise.

Beyond her coaching role, Savannah channels her dedication towards her position as a Mental Health Specialist for Fayette County Public Schools, showcasing her commitment to the well-being of others. She is excited for this season!



Kylie Jo Turner      

A.62

Kylie Jo is so excited to be back at Alpha Performance this year! This is her 6th year coaching and 4th year coaching club volleyball. Kylie Jo also coaches clinics in the community.

Kylie Jo played four years at Henry County High School and Legacy Volleyball Club, and she played collegiately for two years at Asbury University. Kylie Jo was a well-rounded player, playing every position, from libero, setter, to middle blocker. She is currently a preschool teacher at The Centenary School in Lexington and is continuing her education through Morehead State University to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is also recently engaged to her fiancé Walker, and they have a dog named Jack.

Kylie Jo's coaching philosophy is that character is more important than talent! Her goal is to create well-rounded players, not only in athletic skills, but in life. She aims to build up the volleyball talents of her players while also developing work ethic, self-discipline and leadership skills.



Wendy Zuber       

A.53

Wendy Zuber has spent over 20 years playing and coaching volleyball at various levels. Wendy began her playing career at both the middle and high school levels in NC. She attended Elon University and competed at both the Division II and Division I levels where she still holds many school records for both digs and service aces. She began her transition into coaching while still in college as a local club coach. Upon graduating from Elon, she went on to serve as the assistant coach at Georgia Southern University and then the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Wendy spent a number of years coaching high school volleyball and served as the Head Varsity Coach at Roswell High School (GA), McKeesport High School and West Allegheny High School (PA) and used her spare time to coach with Renaissance Volleyball Club out of Pittsburgh, PA. Most recently Wendy spent time volunteer coaching with Woodford County MS program and running private clinics for elementary age athletes in Frankfort. When not watching, coaching or enjoying volleyball, Wendy spends time with her horse, showing in the hunter jumper community.

Wendy is married to Dan, who is also a coach in the Woodford County community and has two daughters, Macie (11) and Lexi (14).



Strength & Conditioning

Alpha Performance National Teams will be working on Speed, Agility, and Quickness with Personal Trainer Zac Minturn. Learn more about Zac in his bio below!

Zac Minturn       

Personal Trainer

Zac was a 4 year varsity starter in high school football and a 3 time All-Ohio player.  Zac was recruited by several schools from the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, ACC conferences. He spent 5 years at WKU where he sat behind an all-American kicker for 2 years and became a 3 year starter following his graduation. After college, he spent 2.5 years in off-seasons with NFL teams. He has had individual workouts with all 32 NFL teams.

Coach Zac became a certified Level-1 CrossFit coach in 2019. He coaches everything from complex Olympic lifting to range in motion to simple functional moments. In 2022 Zac became a volunteer coach with the Great Crossing High School football team where he helps with Special Teams and Coaches the Kickers/Punters.
